Touch The Sun exhibition

The Brief:

Chabot Space and Science Center asked me to create an intimate, emotional and warm space to view images from the Solar Dynamics Observatory. I chose a downstairs gallery with its own restroom and elevator access in order to create a space that could look different from the rest of the museum. The space lacked daylight which served the screen imagery.

The exhibition as a whole had to create a pleasant space but also deliver content across all age groups. Durability and safety concerns as well as ADA compliance were major influences on design decisions.
